An annual tradition of New Student Orientation activities at Webster University is the forming of a "W" in the quad to show school pride and unity. Here's how it looked at campuses in St. Louis, Geneva, Vienna and Cha-am, Thailand.
Webster Works Worldwide 2016
Every year, students, alumni, faculty and staff dedicate their time to the community with a day of service. For WWW22, which took place this past October, 1,664 volunteers participated in 126 projects and collectively volunteered for 6,364 hours. We take pride in a tradition that serves communities all around the world and happily share our memories in the photo galleries and stories below.

Homecoming 2016 Recap
Homecoming Reunion & Family Weekend was a success! The Shop, Rock & Glow Festival kicked off a busy weekend involving students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families. Learn more about the 2016 Alumni Award Winners who were recognized at the Annual Homecoming Dinner and Dance, and view a sampling of photos from the Student Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the Golden Circle luncheon and more.
The 5th annual December Toast: A Celebration of Our Mid-Year Graduates was held Dec. 16, in the Community Music School Concert Hall. President Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble, Provost Julian Schuster and the deans from each of the schools offered congratulations and remarks to the graduates.
Topping Out Ceremony/ISB Update
The "Topping Out" ceremony for the Interdisciplinary Science Building (ISB) on Oct. 14, 2016, celebrated a key milestone in the construction project of a new facility that will open in Fall 2017.
Professors Help Local Entrepreneur
On Friday, Jan. 27, Dawn Manske and three Webster University professors competed in the St. Louis Business Journal Catapult Competition. Manske owns Made for Freedom, a lifestyle that brand sells products made by survivors of sex trafficking and those at risk for sex trafficking.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer joined Webster University President Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble and Webster Orlando Director and Central Florida Regional Director Nick Spina with more than 200 others to celebrate the grand opening of Webster's new downtown Orlando campus on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016.

Webster Ghana Marks New Location
Community members at Webster Ghana held a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony in Oct. 2016 for their new location in Accra, with Peter Maher, associate vice president of international campuses and initiatives, performing the honors.

The Washington Study Tour from July 26 to July 31, 2015 was an opportunity for students, alums and staff in Webster China's Joint MBA programs to focus on business and economic issues vital to China, the U.S. and the rest of the world.
Webster Thailand Alumni Reconnect in Myanmar
On Dec. 2, Webster University Thailand organized an alumni gathering event in Yangon, Myanmar, where graduates from as far back as 2001 reconnected and reminisced on their time at the University.

Webster University Thailand has launched a new "Psychology Matters" podcast on Hua Hin Surf 102.5 FM radio, initiated by faculty member and department coordinator Anthony Rhodes.
Webster Vienna Celebrates 35 Years
With Webster University celebrating 35 years in Vienna, a new art installation in the atrium of the Palais Wenkheim includes the names of all 2,986 alumni from the Vienna campus as part of a seamless skyline featuring landmarks from Webster's campus locations in Vienna, Leiden, Geneva, Athens, Accra, Beijing, Bangkok and St. Louis.
Webster Vienna to Receive Reaccreditation
Webster University will receive institutional reaccreditation in Austria through 2022, continuing dual U.S. and Austrian accreditation for the institution known locally as Webster Vienna Private University.
Webster Geneva Alumni IR Career Panel
On Nov. 22, more than 70 students, alumni and faculty gathered at Webster Geneva for a career services panel discussion on the skills needed to land jobs in international relations and the realities of working in the field.
Webster Athens Earns Greek Accreditation
As of Aug. 22, 2016, Webster University’s Athens campus has been accredited/licensed by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.
Webster Leiden Sponsors Webster Bowl
Over 70 students, staff and alumni from Webster Leiden hopped on a double-decker bus to ride to Waalwijk on Aug. 27 to attend the 2016 Webster Bowl at Mandemakers Stadium.
Webster Leiden Hosts Japanese Tables Event
On Nov. 9, Webster University students and faculty at the Leiden campus took part in the Japanese Tables Evening hosted by SIB Leiden, where students and guests were granted the unique opportunity to interact and converse with up to 40 different ambassadors in one evening.

Garcia Named Lackland AFB Director
Nicole Garcia was named director of Webster University's Lackland Air Force Base campus location in San Antonio, Texas, as of Aug. 1.
Two Webster Employees Honored for Saving Lives
Katie Ervin, director of the Fort Leavenworth Campus, used her cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to save the life of an infant in the parking lot of Webster’s campus there on Nov. 8. The next day, Adjunct Professor Steve Munsie (MA ’05) of the Fort Leonard Wood location saved the life of a student who suffered a medical emergency during class.
